AMFLOW® STRAINERS AND STRAINER ELEMENTS

Amflow® Strainers are designed to be incorporated into systems for purposes of straining large particles prior to pump suction.  Amflow® offers a standard strainer, in addition to a second option which may be operated as either a filter or a strainer.  Both operate with pressures up to 40-bar (580 PSI).

STRAINER SELECTIONS

STRAINER

The standard STRAINER is specifically designed for ease of service with a 1/2" BSPP drain port and a vertical removable filter basket eliminating the need to remove the strainer from the system.  The basket filter is available in either 316L Stainless Steel or Titanium.  The standard is 316L Stainless Steel with either a 5 micron or 300 micron screen. Options in titanium include; 5, 10, 75 or 300 micron.

XL FILTER/STRAINER

The Amflow® FILTER/STRAINER is capable of being used as either a filter or a strainer and incorporates a filter element which may be back flushed for cleaning purposes.  The filter element is available in 316L Stainless Steel with either a 5.0, 50 or 300 micron screen.

XL FILTER OPTIONS:  When configured as a filter the XL Filter/Strainer has two design options allowing an operator to be visually informed when the filter is clogged.  The differential pop-up option is a mechanical device which literally "pop's-up" at the top of the filter when the differential pressure builds up to 3-bar and inhibits the flow indicating it is time to replace or clean the filter element.  This same device is also available with an Atex certified switch, allowing it to be electronically connected into the customers system requirements.  Plus optional flange connections.  These options are not available when configured as a strainer.
